Stretch Therapy


 

Everyone can benefit from Stretch Therapy. Each therapy session is custom-made for each individual’s need. Some benefits of assisted stretch are:

  • Reducing stress levels by increasing serotonin levels

  • Increasing a sense of Well-being by releasing endorphins during and after the session

  • Easing muscle tension and tightness which helps to decrease pain and muscles stiffness

  • Improving range of motion (R.O.M.) and muscle tonus, thus improving overall quality of life

The technique of stretching performed is PNF-based. PNF stands for Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation. It is a technique utilized to improve muscle elasticity through the use of resistance. PNF has been shown to have positive effects on passive AND active range of motions by combining a series of isometric and passive muscle positions.

Assisted stretching can also help muscles detox. It is important to hydrate before and after a session. This will also assist in the Endorphin release one experiences after an assisted PNF Stretch Session.


Session Length: 40-45 minutes

What else? Please bring socks with grippy soles (also known as Toe Sox or hospital socks). Wear gym clothing that does not restrict movement.
